K U M I H I M O

Kumihimo is a 1,000 year old intricate Japanese weaving technique that produces very strong braided cords.  These finely made cords are used to tie on the kimono obi in formal tea and religious ceremonies. We create beautiful jewelry by braiding the cords in different patterns and/or adding beads to the weaving process.
